Empowering Women Human Rights Defenders Through Rapid Response and Collaboration

They act to disrupt structures, systems and institutions that violate women’s human rights and engage in movement building that amplifies women’s voices and activism to create alternative political narratives and spaces. They strive for access to justice and rights of marginalised groups of women, gender-based violence, and women’s economic, social and cultural rights.

The team of resilient women fit perfectly amidst nature symbolising their work towards peace and equality. Nature also signifies power and strength—the cycle of freedom and independence that they’ve been actively fighting for all women. It was only right for a rainbow to shine over them. The rainbow is a sign of hope, the beauty after the storm, a pot of gold and good fortune at the rainbow’s end. But most importantly, the rainbow represents inclusivity and diversity, an all-embracing image of love and friendship.
